The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to Newport Partners for the development of a workforce education and training program across several states in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions on energy efficiency and building science concepts. Supplemental outreach and technical assistance to help support the program and respond to participant/stakeholder need would also be provided. Project activities include preparation of curriculum, coordination with stakeholder groups, community colleges and other institutions of higher learning, workshops and webinars. Classes would be performed in classroom settings as well as via webinar. Specific training locations, when conducted in person, would be identified and contracted throughout the project.
